Eric Wollman is a master guitar player and composer of jazz and jazz-fusion.
He has toured extensively with Mike Clark and performed with some of the most prominent names in jazz-fusion including Kenwood Dennard, Delmar Brown, Adam Holzman and Zack Danziger. He has also played with many of the top names in jazz including John Handy, Rufus Reid, Jim McNeely and Ron McClure
Eric’s original band has performed and headlined the New York area colleges and clubs including Smalls, Trumpets, The Knitting Factory, The Village Gate, Visiones and 55 Bar. In Los Angeles, the trio has performed at The Baked Potato, Le Café, Comeback Inn and Catalina Bar & Grill. The band was featured at the Elkhart, Indiana Jazz Festival, the Port Jefferson American Music Festival, Omega Institute and headlined the Crystal Cruises Jazz Series. Mr. Wollman has performed clinics at Sam Ash Guitar Club and The Jazz School in Berkeley, CA (with Mike Clark).
“East Coast Shoes,” Eric’s first jazz-fusion CD under his own name, was released by Impression Records. His second CD, “Mood Euthymic,” featuring the Eric Wollman Trio, is a mixture of standard and original jazz compositions. He has recently finished another jazz-fusion CD entitled “Stealth Compromised.”
Eric can be seen performing in venues all over the New York metropolitan area with his jazz and jazz-fusion groups, featuring Jim Donica on bass and Peter Grant on drums. His most recent collaboration is with saxophonist Woody Witt, adding his originals to the mix.
